Important information about Covid-19
Safety and hygiene regulations
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have introduced specific safety measures to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of all visitors of MIAC 2020.
All visitors, exhibitors and anyone with access to the exhibition hall and its premises are required to comply with the following measures which they fully accept:
1. Obligation to stay at home in the presence of a temperature (over 37.5° C) or other flu-like symptoms and stay away from the exhibition hall in the event of health-risk symptoms/factors such as flu, temperature, arrival from areas at risk or contact with people who have tested positive for the virus in the previous 14 days, and in all cases where public authority regulations require you to inform your family doctor and the local health authority and isolate at home.
2. Obligation to respect all regulations laid down by the authorities and the MIAC Organization when entering the exhibition hall, particularly:
- undergo a body temperature scan before entering the premises (if requested by the MIAC staff);
- wear a face mask throughout the visit/stay;
- maintain an interpersonal safety distance of at least 1 metre;
- avoid gatherings of people inside the Lucca Fiere exhibition center;
- observe the rules of hand hygiene and follow all correct hygiene principles.
3. Obligation to inform the MIAC Organization (office in the reception area inside the main pavilion) and/or the MIAC security staff with yellow jacket located in the exhibition area promptly and in a responsible manner in the event of emergence of any flu-like symptom during your visit, taking care to maintain the recommended social distance from all people.
The security measures implemented by Edipap Srl in response to the Covid-19 pandemic are intended to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all participants and anyone visiting MIAC and its premises. It is therefore in everyone’s interest to respect the security measures that have been put in place. Edipap Srl reserves the right to remove from the MIAC exhibition any person whose behaviour does not respect these security measures.
The aisles and communal areas of MIAC have been laid out with markers on the ground to help visitors stay at safe distances from each other. This aspect of the 1 meter spacing pertains to the individual responsibility of each visitor and exhibitor and whoever is inside the MIAC exhibition center.
Self-certification of good health
On the days of access to the MIAC exhibition centre (single day and/or more days of access) anyone who accesses it implicitly self-certifies that, on that precise day and time of visit, he/she is in good health, not having flu symptoms and not having had contact with people positive to the virus in the 14 days preceding the days of visit and entry to the exhibition.
Access to the exhibition and stay in the MIAC pavilions
Access to the exhibition for the visitor is provided in two ways: by booking the visit on the preferred days and times on the MIAC website (pre-registered visitor – highly recommended method to avoid gatherings at the entrance) or with on-site registration in a different specific reception, being able to enter only if the maximum capacity allowed has not already been reached inside the exhibition pavilion.
Anyone who enters the exhibition guarantees that they have read and understood these safety and hygiene standards and that they accept them in their entirety and scrupulously follow them.
At the entance of the exhibition and in strategic locations around the halls, special signs, both in English and in Italian, providing information on preventive and safety measures introduced to prevent Covid-19 have been placed. Inside MIAC, stewards wearing yellow bibs will be coordinating the movement of visitors and assuring compliance with the preventive measures introduced, also referring to the responsibility of each single visitor.
Hand sanitising stations for the use of all visitors of MIAC 2020 have been placed in multiple locations around the exhibition that visitors can freely use. On entering the exhibition (at the reception), masks will be given to those who arrive without one. Face mask can be removed only to eat and drink at stands or at the bar always keeping the safety distance of 1 meter.
Seating arrangements will be put in place in the MIAC Conference Room to assure one metre between one person and the next when seated. This distance has to be respected by all participants to the MIAC conferences.
The security measures that have been introduced at MIAC 2020 aim to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus; however, this risk cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, anyone visiting the MIAC exhibition acknowledges that they do so at their own risk and relieves the Organizers of any responsibility in this regard. Furthermore, in case of sudden cancellation of the Event for any reasons, the MIAC Organization cannot and must not be held responsible for any travel and/or hotel expenses that the Visitor has already dealt with and he/she relieves the Organizers of any responsibility in this regard.
Temperature exceeding 37.5° C
At the entrance to the MIAC exhibition, body temperature can be detected. In the event that the temperature scan detects a temperature exceeding 37.5° C, the guest will be asked to return home/hotel and contact his/her family doctor and/or healthcare personnel.
The data provided will be processed in full respect of current privacy law and in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30.6.2003 and EU Regulation no. 2016/679, always adopting principles inspired by fairness, lawfulness and transparency, and only for the purpose of protecting the health of people present at MIAC 2020, thus guaranteeing the protection and confidentiality of data. The data collected will not be disclosed or communicated to third parties beyond those enabled by the specific regulatory provisions, and will not be transferred abroad. No personal data will be stored regarding the real-time temperature monitoring process unless a visitor’s temperature exceeds the established threshold. In such an event, the Data Controller (Edipapa Srl) may only register the guest’s name and Entrance ticket ID code in order to document the reasons why access was denied to the exhibition – these details will be held on file for the next 14 days before being cancelled. The Data Controller may be contacted at the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
